Sign of the times?

Now those of you who frequent my little corner of cyberspace on a regular basis will know that I have a proclivity for the empty streets type of vibe.

But this is the first time I have come across something like this!

Inside the Fischers building gallery

This morning I finally got a good look round the Fischers Jewelers building in our city center.

This is the main gallery downstairs, and there's a whole lot more to come upstairs.

What really piqued my interest though was mention of the basement underneath this space.

There were no lights to see it today- but I shall return...

Baakens River Flooding

After an intense downpour last night, this is what our local river looked like this morning.

Usually it barely flows!
And in the background of pic3 you can see the new bridge that was built after the last flooding.
