So how do you see the future of the human race?

Are we going to overcome our current precarious position through innovation and change,

or are we going to keep doin it the way we have always been doin it, and choke on our own waste products?

It's days like this that make me feel like I'm living in a small town..

I do experience idyllic days in the harbour, but lately it has tended towards the gritty end of the spectrum.

Well actually every Tuesday morning, early enough to wake me with their shouts and squealing brakes.

Wouldn't miss it for the world :-)

North End after the rain

I spent the whole day at home today, something I haven't done in a really long time.

I shot this from the back stoep (that's veranda to you overseas people).

Now I'm rested and ready to take on the world..

Steel and skyscrapers

Okay, not really skyscrapers, but here in the sleepy hollow of Port Elizabeth, it is to us.

A visitor from the U.K. once said to me "so you obviously go to the bigger centers when you go on holiday"

And I said something like "No, I prefer to find the smallest place I can"

Right now I'd settle for a day off :-)
