We shall rise
So here goes a change of format, one god post or so a week or so instead of my sporadic attempts to keep up a daily blog. The perils of a working man.

Thoughts from the week
The city held an urban run a couple of weeks ago, so people who don't usually go near the city centre get to go a-wanderin.
I found this one lurking is a reasonably suburban area.
It's amazing what you find when you look.
And another one!
It's amazing what we live amongst.

Down at the power station
This is on the hospital premises, and I presume for those power cuts we seem to have been having a lot of lately.
I hope this set up works..

Our endless Summer days

Runway to the stars
There air is still way too cold. But let's hope those summer days (and evenings) are just around the corner.

Night crawlers
Today is the first day of spring, and it i a suitably miserable day.
The nights have been getting a bit warmer though, encouraging the odd nocturnal neighborhood stroll.

Stories from the weekend
I will never tire of our city center.

Some assembly required
There are quite a few houses around here being worked on all of a sudden.
A sign of some sort of economic turn around?
Or is it the opposite.

Chaos
Looks: who needs 'em

The Weirdness continues...
This spraypainter must be a serious underachiever - come on, put a
bit more effort in!

Bad weather blues
And more to come this weekend.
As I remember from my high school geography, we are supposed to be a summer rainfall region.
Climate change here we come!

Our endless Winter days
And the cold evening air continues...

Journey to the underground
Okay, we don't have an underground. And we have a very poor public transport system.
But still a good spot for photographs.

Journey to the center
I would rather shop/chill out in our city center than in the "malls".
There are good clothing shops: Edgars, Truworths, Birch's, Markam etc.
And I'll let you in on something, now that the end-of-season sales are on, these branches have far more stock than their suburban counterparts!

NE holiday
I've taken a week off, and am enjoying the sights of our city that are in the immediate vicinity.
Plenty to keep me happy..

Not actually, this spot has been earmarked for low cost housing...

5 minute respite
This is the most sun we've seen all day!

Land of no ladders
I don't know if it's just me all of a sudden, but I seem to be noticing a lot of this type of aesthetic going on.
Is it a "glass half full/empty" scenario?

Shuttered in
And it's some sort of government/municipal building to boot!

Of cold skies
Donkin downhill dash
Foe those of us who still had the energy after the Richmond hill street music festival, Sunday presented us with another great spectator event. Let's hope there's plenty more to come!

As shot through a dirty window :-)
What goes on?
Your imagination could go crazy with this one!
Grey Days
We have had weeks of bad weather, and it looks like it will still be around for a few days.

My hometown
Thanks to Adele.
Not that I'm a pop music fan, and not that she is a pop singer.

The stadium from the inside
As a non sports lover I have never really had a reason to go inside our new stadium.
This weekend however was a completely different situation.
Why you ask? There was a wine show there :-).
